U3A Classics: Life in Roman Spain

Around 600 Latin inscriptions from Roman Spain and Portugal can be used to explore the extent and nature of life within the region in the Roman period. The talk will also cover what we can learn from these inscriptions about life including the role women played. Claire's research lies in Roman social and economic history. She has published articles and contributed to, and edited, several books.
