Four talks by expert historians (each talk 1 hour) Discover Dartmouth’s hidden wartime story through four compelling talks. From the rapid construction of Motor Gun Boats on the River Dart to the precision and courage of HMS Medusa on D-Day, this programme reveals extraordinary local and operational achievements. Explore the secret missions of the 15th MGB Flotilla supporting MI6 and SOE, and the deadly threat posed by German S-boats during Exercise Tiger. Together, these talks uncover how innovation, bravery and covert operations shaped Dartmouth’s vital contribution to victory. Talk 1 starts at 10.30am, talk 2 at 11.30am (12.30pm to 1.30pm break for lunch) Talk 3 starts at 1.30pm and talk 4 starts at 2.30pm. The event finishes at 3.30pm.
